Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.

Ready Player One (TFX, 9:05 p.m.)

In Ready Player Onethe adaptation of a great classic of science fiction, we are immersed in a futuristic universe where a majority of the population takes refuge in a virtual world in order to escape their daily life which has become unbearable.

Magnificently adapted for the screen by Steven Spielberg, this feature film is full of references to pop culture, but it does not forget to take a keen look at contemporary society. Let’s also mention the excellent performance of Tye Sheridan in the lead role.

Terminator (6ter, 9:10 p.m.)

The synopsis proposed by MGM is very sober:

A cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is sent from the 21st century to modern-day Los Angeles to murder a seemingly innocent woman whose child will play an important role in the world the killer comes from.

This film directed by James Cameron remains no less masterful. Wonderfully illustrating man’s fears about the possible excesses of technology, it keeps us in suspense for 2 hours. For a feature film dating from 1984, it has ultimately only aged a little.

Nothing to declare (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)

This comedy takes us to the 90s during the creation of the Schengen area. We follow the lives of two customs officers, one French, the other Belgian. Their work is disrupted by the disappearance of their respective border posts.

Rivals, the two men will however agree to cooperate to launch the first mixed Franco-Belgian flying brigade. Without reaching the level of Welcome to the Ch’tisthis feature film nevertheless remains quite well made and we laugh frequently in the company of the Dany Boon-Benoît Poelvoorde duo which works well.

That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Men on the verge of a nervous breakdown (France 2, 9:10 p.m.), What is this grandpa? (W9, 9:10 p.m.), and The Cairo Conspiracy (Arte, 9 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
