Artificial intelligence will be at the heart of the next Samsung Unpacked event which will be held on January 22 in San Jose. The Korean manufacturer promises to unveil “the next evolution of Galaxy AI”, its AI assistant which should redefine the mobile experience. An announcement that comes in the middle of CES in Las Vegas.

The Galaxy S25s featured

The star of the event will undoubtedly be the new Galaxy S25 range, which should be available in several versions (S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra). These smartphones will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and will offer a slightly revised design with more rounded edges. Samsung relies heavily on AI capabilities, with features such as real-time translation of calls or even creative tools for photography and drawing, relying in particular on Google Gemini.

A competitor for the Apple Vision Pro?

The other potential announcement concerns the mysterious “Project Moohan”, a mixed reality headset developed in partnership with Google. Running Android XR, this device would position itself as a more affordable alternative to the Apple Vision Pro. If a full presentation is not guaranteed, Samsung could take advantage of the event to give a first glimpse of this highly anticipated project. The successor to the connected ring, the Galaxy Ring 2, is also expected.

The event will be streamed live from Samsung.com and YouTube on January 22 at 7 p.m. PT.
