SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company, could soon reach a valuation of $350 billion. In any case, this is what is indicated by an article from Bloomberg which, citing sources close to the matter, explains that SpaceX would be in negotiations to sell insider shares, as part of an operation that could increase the value of the $350 billion company.

According to the American agency, the last known valuation of SpaceX was $210 billion. And previous rumors had suggested a valuation of $250 billion, after the sale of shares. But now we are talking about 350 billion dollars.

Obviously, as this information is not yet official, caution remains in order. Additionally, Bloomberg reports that discussions are still ongoing, and details of the deal could change depending on interest from sellers of SpaceX stock and those looking to buy. In any case, this rumor is circulating as the value of Tesla shares increased by 40% in one month, after the election of Donald Trump.

The highest valued startup on the planet?

If SpaceX’s valuation reaches $350 billion, this will confirm its position as the most highly valued startup in the world. Indeed, the valuation of Elon Musk’s company would exceed that which Bytedance, the owner of TikTok, could achieve. Recently, we relayed rumors suggesting an operation that could value Bytedance at $300 billion. As for OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, it recently saw its valuation increase to $157 billion, following a fundraising of $6.6 billion.

As a reminder, companies like SpaceX, Bytedance or OpenAI are not listed on the stock exchange. Therefore, it is difficult to know how much they are worth. However, they regularly raise funds, or sell shares, which allows them to know the new official valuation.

  • SpaceX is preparing an insider share sale and this transaction could increase its valuation to $350 billion, according to Bloomberg sources
  • However, for the moment, caution remains in order and the details still depend on ongoing discussions
  • But in any case, this valuation would make SpaceX the most valued startup in the world (ahead of Bytedance and OpenAI)
