The Internet does not lack inspiration and finds new challenges to achieve on social networks. Lately, the new trend on TikTok is the “Supeman dance” or Superman dance, in French. As you can see in the video below, the challenge involves doing some dance steps, imitating the Superman pose, jumping, being caught by friends. And to spice things up, the other two people participating in the challenge can project you.
The problem is that these stunts can be dangerous. Some videos available on TikTok show, for example, people who fell, or who hit their heads against the ceiling while doing this challenge. And according to the Actu.fr website, certain educational establishments have decided to officially ban this challenge. This would, for example, be the case for establishments in the Manche region.
TikTok has already taken action
For its part, TikTok has already reacted by blocking searches for “Superman dance”. When you search for this challenge on the social network, it does not display any results, but broadcasts the following message: “This phrase may be associated with behavior or content that violates our guidelines. TikTok’s priority is to encourage a safe and positive experience.” On the other hand, the challenge was not banned by the platform, since the videos are still accessible.
It remains to be seen whether the instructions will be followed, where Superman dancing is prohibited. In any case, this is not the first time that a dangerous social media challenge has been reported. For example, in an article published in November, we mentioned another dangerous challenge called “Door Kicking”.
