One of the most important aspects we all look at when buying a phone is the battery. In fact, when someone asks me for recommendations, they always tell me: ‘I want it to have a lot of memory and a long battery life.’ This is where I immediately recommend the Galaxy A56, not so much for its capacity, but for its charging efficiency, something many people often forget.

And one thing I really liked about the Samsung Galaxy A56 after testing it a few weeks ago is, without a doubt, its battery and the charging experience it offers. Although on paper the battery capacity doesn’t change compared to its predecessor, as this one and last year’s A55 both have 5000 mAh, the improvements in charging speed make it a noticeable leap in the daily user experience.

Burden and autonomy of praising

The Galaxy A56’s battery life remains solid, with its 5,000mAh capacity ensuring a full day of moderate use. In lighter usage, it can easily stretch to two days. But the real interest isn’t how long it lasts, but how quickly it’s ready to go again.

The A56 features 45W fast charging, a significant improvement over the A55’s 25W. In various tests like the ones below, the A56 reached 100% battery in just 1 hour and 11 minutes, compared to the A55’s 1 hour and 24 minutes. This difference may seem small on paper, but it’s noticeable in practice: the A56 charges significantly faster in the first few minutes. For example, it can reach 65% battery in just 30 minutes, which is enough to cover many hours of use.

In addition, the A56’s charging curve is better optimized: it achieves a higher battery percentage in the first 15 and 30 minutes than the A55. This means you no longer need to leave your phone plugged in for long periods to ensure it lasts all day. Just a few minutes will give you enough power to use your phone for several hours.

A large battery with some shadows

Of course, not everything is perfect. Despite this improvement, Samsung still doesn’t include a charger in the box, a decision that can be frustrating for many users. To take full advantage of the 45W fast charging, you also need a charger compatible with that power and a 5-amp cable, as the included one has a 3-amp limit. Therefore, if you want the fastest possible charging, you’ll have to make an additional investment.

We recommend purchasing this 45W Samsung charger to take advantage of the device’s maximum charging speed.
