The iPhone 17 Air has come to light early, and has done so with novelties that few expected. Sonny Dickson, a recognized technology enthusiast, has shared images of the models of the entire New iPhone 17 rangeshowing a more refined design, the presence of Magsafe and the incorporation of a new button that could change the way we use the iPhone.
These Dummy models are usually based on filtered designs and dimensions obtained from the production chain, which allows accessory manufacturers to prepare covers and other accessories before the official launch.
In this case, the leaks seem to confirm that the iPhone 17 Airthe great novelty of the next generation, will have a Ultradelgated Design that will differentiate it from the rest of the range.
iPhone 17 Air: Filtered design
One of the big questions was if the iPhone 17 Air would be Compatible with Magsafe. Its reduced thickness made Apple could eliminate this functionality to maintain minimalist aesthetics. However, filtered images suggest that Magsafe will continue to present, which is excellent news for those who use wireless loaders and magnetic accessories, such as popular wallets.

Another of the most striking changes is the replacement of the classic sound switch by the Action buttonfollowing the line of the iPhone 15 Pro. This configurable button will allow users to customize their function, either to activate the camera, turn on the flashlight or throw direct accesses. Although it was an expected change, this filtration is the first tangible test of its arrival at the Air model.
What nobody saw coming was the incorporation of a button dedicated to camera control. According to the images, the iPhone 17 Air will have a button on the side, specifically thought to facilitate the capture of photos and videos. It is unknown if it will work as a physical trigger or if it will include pressure levels for advanced functions, but everything indicates that Apple seeks to improve photographic experience in its thinner devices and will be similar to the iPhone 16 button, the Camera Control button.
When the new iPhone come out
As for the rest of the range, the iPhone 17 and the PRO Models maintain a more continuous evolution. The standard iPhone 17 seems to keep the design of the iPhone 16while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have a more elongated chamber module, in the form of a horizontal bar, with three lenses, a LED flash and an integrated microphone. The Air model, meanwhile, only has a rear camera, suggesting that Apple is betting on a lighter and minimalist proposal, similar to the iPad Air within its category.
And when will these devices arrive at the Apple Store? Well, as always, they are expected to be presented during the month of Septemberarriving at stores a few days later. The expectation around this new generation of iPhone continues to increase and it remains to be iPhone 17 Air could mark a before and after in the company of the company's devices.
