The folding iPhone will come out with little stock
Apple continues working on its first foldable iPhone, but everything indicates that it is not going to be an easy launch. Although the idea would be to present it sometime in 2026, it seems that manufacturing this type of mobile is more complicated than expected and that is going to cause problems.
According to what is said, Apple would struggle to produce enough units from the start. It is not that the project is in danger by any means, but it is that the manufacturing process would be slow, especially at the beginning. This means that, even if the mobile phone is announced, not everyone will be able to buy it easily.
The main cause would be the complexity of the device itself. A bendable iPhone is not the same as a normal one: the screen, hinges and other components are more difficult to manufacture and assemble well. This would not be something totally new at Apple. Every time the company launches a product that is very different from the usual, it usually takes a while for production to stabilize. And in this case, furthermore, it is expected that there will be many people interested just because it is the first foldable iPhone. The only good thing? The price will be high, and not everyone will be able to afford it, which will reduce that demand, and would somewhat solve the stock problem, since we are not talking about a basic iPhone.
In short, the foldable iPhone will arrive, but slowly. It will probably be presented sooner (in September 2026)but for most people it will be more realistic to think of 2027 as the moment in which it can really be purchased without so many problems, and even more so if we wait for a reduction in its price, which would not come until all this stabilizes, and it may take more than 1 year since its presentation, so having one is going to be a matter of patience.
