Although we have been talking about iOS 19 and its close presentation at the June developer conference, it seems that everything will change, or at least externally, and that is that the name of the next iPhone operating system will not be the announced one.
In addition, it is not the only change, then other devices like watchos, tvosetc., they will also have a totally different number from that expected, but everything has a fairly simple explanation, so we will know it, and thus discover the reason for change.
iOS 26 will be present in 2026
It may, with this holder, have already deducted the reason for the new name, and why an increase of so many numbers, since we do not talk about skipping one, as happened with the iPhone 9 version, for quadrar dates, but 7, since instead of iOS 19 will be iOS 26.
If you have not yet captured, it has an easy explanation, and it is currently in 2025, so the version that, according to Apple, we should have, is iOS 25, thus being easy to relate.
In addition, macOS, watchos and all versions will be called that way, being able to know what the version of each system would be for each year, and know if a device continues to be updated, or not, as if we have the last of the versions, or we should check them.
Therefore, the systems that will be presented in a few days are the following, and not the ones we believed:

- Macos 26 (instead of macOS 16)
- Ipados 26 (instead of ipados 19)
- Watchos 26 (instead of Watchos 12)
- TVOS 26 (Instead of TVOS 19)
- Visionos 26 (instead of visionos 3)
In addition to the new name, Apple also plans to completely renew the design of all its platforms, taking as reference the visual style of visionos. The idea is that everything looks and feels more modern, but above all, unified.
For now it is time to wait, although everything points that it will be, so we will not see a version of iOS along with the iPhone as it was believed for a possible 20th anniversary, but that each version will correspond to the number of the year in question, something that will not move to the devices, so that We will not see an Apple Watch 26or at least for many years, and these will follow their current numerical line.
As for the internal level, all the news that we have mentioned these weeks are expected, and the only thing that changes is the name, so we do not have to worry about the rest of the news, and possibly the only one we see is an aesthetic unification, as we said.
