He OnePlus 15R aims to become the fashionable mobile phone for those who live glued to the screen. According to the latest leaks and official previews of the Chinese model OnePlus Ace 6T, its battery would reach impressive 8300mAh with fast charging 100Wsomething we wouldn't even see in the flagship, the OnePlus 15.

The Ace 6T will be presented in China and, barring surprises, will reach the global market on December 17 under the name OnePlus 15R. We would be facing a mid-high range very focused on autonomy and performance, designed to compete with phones like the Pixel 9a, the Galaxy A56 or the iPhone 16e, but standing out especially in an aspect in which few manufacturers dare to innovate.

A huge battery for a premium mid-range

The key to this model is that the Ace 6T, which is expected to be the basis of the OnePlus 15R, has been confirmed in China with a battery of 8300mAh and loading 100W. That would place the OnePlus 15R among the phones with the highest capacity on the general market, where the usual range is between 4500 and 5000 mAh even in high ranges.

The play is even more striking if we look at the player himself. OnePlus 15whose battery is 7800mAh and load up to 120W in the Chinese variant. That is, the supposedly cheaper model could offer even more capacity than the flagship, in exchange for a somewhat slower charge and a clearer focus on autonomy on a daily basis.

OnePlus 15R technical sheet (rumors)

OnePlus 15r could become a titan of autonomy

For now, all OnePlus 15R specs should be taken with a grain of salt, because many come from Ace 6T previews and leaks. Even so, the whole creates a very powerful mobile for its price range and, of course, It does not stand out only for its huge battery.

On the table would be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5an OLED screen 165Hz with resolution 1.5Ka cooling system called 'Glacier Cooling', certified water and dust resistance IP69 and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen. The rear camera would remain in a dual sensor configuration, with a main one of 50 megapixels and an ultra wide angle 8 megapixelssufficient for most, but clearly less ambitious than that of a high-end mobile phone.

  • Battery: up to 8300 mAh, 100W fast charging (based on Ace 6T)
  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite)
  • Display: 1.5K OLED, 165 Hz, flat
  • Resistance: IP69 against water and dust
  • Biometrics: ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen
  • Rear cameras: 50 megapixel main + 8 megapixel ultra wide angle
  • Expected global presentation date: December 17, 2025

Can the OnePlus 15R be the new king of autonomy?

The big question is whether the global version of the OnePlus 15R will keep exactly the same battery 8300mAh than the Chinese Ace 6T. OnePlus usually adjusts some parameters between markets, so it would not be unusual to see a slightly lower figure or changes in charging power.

In any case, if the OnePlus 15R arrives with more than 8000mAh and remains reasonable in thickness and weight, it could become the mobile phone to beat in autonomy within the mid-high range, even surpassing some flagships. It remains to be seen the price, the real performance and how that battery behaves in the long term, but it already aims to be one of the most interesting phones for those who hate living stuck to the charger. Would you consider buying a mobile phone like this, even if it were a little heavier than average?
