A Galaxy S25 Ultra video has leaked on Reddit and reveals a design that is dangerously close to the iPhone. Samsung’s next flagship, expected in early 2025, is already showing its curves in a short sequence that is causing a lot of talk.
A design that is rounded and closer to the iPhone
A video published on Reddit has just revealed the design of the future Galaxy S25 Ultra, confirmed by the famous leaker Ice Universe. The most notable change concerns the corners of the smartphone, now more rounded, abandoning the characteristic angular style of the S24 Ultra. This development surprisingly brings the design of the Samsung flagship closer to that of the iPhone, particularly with its softer edges.
The dimensions of the S25 Ultra would also be very close to those of the future iPhone 17 Pro Max, with almost identical screen sizes and ultra-thin borders. A coincidence which raises questions, even if the two manufacturers probably developed their designs in parallel.
Premium features to rival Apple
The Galaxy S25 Ultra doesn’t just borrow aesthetically from the iPhone. Samsung has chosen to use a titanium frame, a material that Apple popularized with its iPhone 15 Pro but should be replaced by aluminum on the iPhone 17 Pro. On the photo side, the smartphone will retain its 200 MP main sensor but will see its ultra wide-angle increase to 50 MP, a significant development which could give it an advantage over its Californian rival.
The device will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and up to 16 GB of RAM, a muscular configuration which should allow it to effectively manage new artificial intelligence features, an area where Samsung is trying to differentiate itself from Apple.
This leak comes as Apple prepares its iPhone 17 Pro Max, creating an exciting battle between the two giants for early 2025. The announced price of $1,299 for the base version clearly places the S25 Ultra in the same premium category as the iPhone, confirming Samsung’s desire to compete directly with Apple in the most high-end segment.
