Everything pointed to what would be in iOS 19 when we would have a smarter Siri, with which we could interact and speak as if it were a person, something similar to those already offered by Chatgpt, for example, and with whom they want to associate Apple.
However, it does not seem that it will be so soon, and the problems that are emerging make us think that everything will be slower, being really in iOS 20and possibly not exit, when everything changes. At least that is what Mark Gurman tells us, who also tells us that, according to Apple's internal data, the use in the real world of Apple Intelligence is “extremely low.”
This does not mean that we will not see Improvements in AI and Siri, where in May, next to iOS 18.5We will notice a great change, including the option to try it in Europe, and in Spanish, something we have been waiting for since its launch in September 2024.
This could affect, in turn, delay of other products such as Apple TV, or Homepod with screena station designed to take advantage of those functions of Siri and Apple Intelligence, and that we are probable we do not see if at least the assistant is not smarter than the current one, because it could be a failure of being so, and we do not believe that the company will launch something halfway.
For now we have to wait, and it seems that a lot, because everything progresses slowly and, except for a miracle, it will not cut deadlines, which makes us believe Gurman's words and be patient, since iOS 19 is likely to be a simple update, and not as great as one could expect, at least not at the beginning, since if you arrive in this version, it would not do so until the end of the same, that is, in at least 12 months.
