During the WWDC of 2025, Apple introduced us iOS 26as well as the rest of the operating systems. Among the novelties, we could see something that had been rumored weeks ago, and is the incorporation of a new store app where we will have the games available to download.
It has enough news, and the objective is to separate the games from the App Store from this new one, thus being able to have a better filter to look for what we want, and in turn to unify other types of functions that we have seen and that look quite good.
New Games application in iOS 26
The application comes natively in iOS 26, so if you have not yet downloaded a beta of the system, you will not be able to use it, and you will have to wait for the official launch in September, where everyone will have it already.
This is something important, since we not only have a New “Store” appwith better filters and visually prettier, to observe all the available games, but there are also other options such as the “we play together” where you can select your friends from yours, choose a game, and challenge them among those available.

As for what we can do, except for the new “joint game” section the rest will be the same, and we will not lose any of the titles downloaded or paid, only that we will have the new application to be able to better manage all these, or even discover new ones, because their filters and recommendations are more advanced, and you can see games that may interest you more, or are recommended for your age, categories that you usually download, etc.

If you want to wait for the public beta, which will be more polished and with corrected errors, it will arrive next month, since, as we said, there will be not many people with iOS 26 right now, which prevents trying these functions of friends, so it is better that you are not in a hurry, since it has enough general errors, and could leave your iPhone quite slow and insecure, so you never do it with the staff.
