Through its CEO, Apple congratulates Donald Trump on his victory in the presidential elections. A usual position to start on a good basis with the new leader of the country. Especially since Trump promised Cook to help him in his battle with the European Commission.

Apple congratulates Donald Trump

Last night (French time), Donald Trump was elected 47th President of the United States. After a first term between January 2017 and January 2021, Trump is preparing to lead the most powerful country in the world for a second term. An event in which Tim Cook wanted to participate by congratulating the politician on his social networks.

Congratulations to President Trump on his victory! We look forward to working with you and your administration to ensure that America continues to demonstrate ingenuity, innovation, and creativity and continue to move it forward.

Heckled by the European Commission, Tim Cook surely hopes that Donald Trump will come to his aid for the next four years on the political and economic level. Trump, who recently admitted that the CEO of Apple had called him to complain about the numerous European sanctions. A request to which the new president responded that once elected, he would take care of the problem. Things look set to be tense between Donald Trump and the European Commission in the months to come.

The Apple boss is not the only one to have published a nice little note. The CEOs of Google (Sundar Pichai), Amazon (Jeff Bezos), Meta (Mark Zuckerberg), Microsoft (Satya Nadella) and OpenAI (Sam Altman) also expressed their enthusiasm. We can also cite Elon Musk who directly campaigned for Donald Trump.

Tim Cook is not necessarily a fan of Donald Trump. On the other hand, he always stressed the importance of creating debate rather than staying on the sidelines and shouting in his corner. For a company like Apple, it is vital to have a good relationship with the president in office.
