If we use iPhone or Mac, we probably have safari as a predetermined browser, although this basically applies to all. And today we will see the advantages of using the Incognito mode, or private navigationwhether we use an iPhone, as if we use a Mac.
We all know one of them, and in doing so, the search history will not be recorded, although we could also limit it without using incognito, so we will also discover other advantages that this mode has, although it is not always recommended.
What is the incognito mode for
As we said, its main advantage is that it does not keep the history, but this is associated with other advantages that, without realizing it, also apply to this, and that we will see in a summary way:
- Does not keep history: When you close the private window, all the pages you visited disappear, so no one can see them later. This is useful if you share the device or you simply do not want it to be trace of your navigation.
- Does not store cookies or sessions: The sites do not keep your session or preferences, as if you had never been there.
- Do not keep cache or forms: There are no images, temporary files or the data you wrote in forms. This also prevents certain sites from loading faster for having previously saved information (a disadvantage).
- Block follow -up between sites: It prevents advertisers and pages from following you from one place to another to show you advertising, although they will do it the same, only without your preferences. However, if you log in to a service like Google, they will continue to track you.
- Protect accounts on shared devices: If you log in somewhere, it will close automatically when you close the window, preventing, another person who comes behind, can enter if you have forgotten to close the session. Ideal if you use a public computer or a friend.
- It does not synchronize eyelashes with ICloud: What you open in private navigation will not appear on other Apple devices, despite having the same ID, so you should not worry about also cleaning the trail in them.
- Does not save self -fulfilled data: Do not remember users, passwords, cards or addresses you enter. If you have the ICLOUD keychain activated, this will not be affected in the incognito mode.
- Greater privacy in searches: What you are looking for will not be registered, so it will not influence future suggestions or ads. However, if you are connected to an account like Google or Bing, they can still register what you are looking for, as well as your Internet operator, which, by law and security, will also know.
This means that not only We will avoid search historybut any information is registered in the team, which, if it is not ours, with more reason we will want to do. A good option that, on the other hand, has disadvantages, such as slower load for the lack of cookiesas we explain, or not being able to visualize that website that we liked days ago, but we no longer know what it was, and we cannot find in history.
