Apple claims to be more secure than others and this case proves it. Following a Chinese hack of US ISPs, all Android smartphones were potentially at risk. Which is not the case with iPhones and here’s why.
Apple: additional security
Officially relayed by the Wall Street Journal this weekend, the information is cause for concern. Chinese hackers hacked three huge ISPs (internet providers) in the United States for several months in a row. We are talking here about Verizon, AT&T and Lumen Technologies.
Having gained access to the inside of the system, they apparently managed to circumvent the security protocol in order to have direct access to the wiretapping. A protocol created specifically for law enforcement, allowing telephone conversations to be listened to during ongoing criminal cases.
A huge problem that proves Apple 100% right. Apple always responded in the negative when the FBI asked it to create a special gateway to access wiretapping between iPhones to solve certain cases.
If she had given in, the hackers would also have had free access to eavesdropping on iPhone. Apple has had the same message since the beginning on this subject. She doesn’t want to be tied to a security issue that she couldn’t handle effectively. The brand knows that a faulty encryption system sooner or later ends up being hacked. The proof is with the story of the day.
Initial research indicates a hack orchestrated directly by the Chinese government. Obviously, China completely denies being behind this cyberattack. A digital war between two of the greatest powers on the planet which has not finished making headlines.
