Say goodbye to CVs and cover letters! Workeez Connect intends to dust off the job search field with an innovative application that allows candidates and recruiters to meet their expectations in just a few clicks.

This ambitious startup was founded by entrepreneur Laurent Legrain who, in 2017, was already on the move with the creation of Tweett Emploi, a recruitment agency. But a few years later, it was hit very hard by the pandemic. “ In March 2020, I lost nearly 130 employees. From there, I rethink my business model and decide to change brands », confides its founder in an interview with Presse-citron.
Quickly, Tweett Emploi became Workeez. A name that is not due to chance. “ This is broken down at the syllable level: Work, the double E represents employee and employer and finally, the Z symbolizes a generation », he continues. This product is defined as “ an ecosystem around employment and the employer brand », around which Laurent Legrain has developed several solutions, including Workeez Connect.
Launched in April, this application aims to drastically simplify the recruitment process, both for employers and candidates. To develop it, Laurent Legrain joined forces with Julien Larzillière, who has extensive experience in digital technology. “ I saw that my recruiters were spending a phenomenal amount of time sourcing, recruiting, making lots of calls, getting voicemail, having problems synchronizing supply and demand, etc. », argues the manager.
A dating app, but for work
From this observation, Workeez Connect aims to revolutionize the job search through an approach that Laurent Legrain defines as “ phygital “, that is to say as much focused on digital as on humans. The platform, available in web and mobile version, is based on a “ mirror effect » between candidates and recruiters.
On the one hand, companies highlight their employer brand through photos of the work environment, job videos, and detailed information on their culture (management style, social benefits, workplace safety, etc.). On the other hand, candidates present their skills, certifications, and can even share tutorials demonstrating their know-how. Around thirty criteria are provided on both sides to ensure an optimal match.
The system of “ matching » from Workeez Connect is directly inspired by dating applications. After a “ spotlight » mutual allowing both parties to discover their respective profiles, each can “ like » or not. In the event of a match, a communication channel instantly opens with several options: integrated chat, phone call, SMS, and even videoconferencing for rapid recruitment. This approach does not exclude the human dimension, since the parties can then organize a face-to-face meeting, specifies the founder.
The platform also responds to the constantly evolving needs of recruiters and younger generations, who are increasingly putting traditional job search solutions such as cover letters and CVs on the shelf.
Partnership with France Travail
Workeez Connect includes 11,000 different professions spread across several categories, “ from internship to permanent contract, including temporary work, fixed-term contracts, integration, training and work-study contracts », assures its leader. Seasonal and intermittent workers should also find what they are looking for. Between 500 and 700 job offers are currently accessible on the platform, which claims 2,000 registered members.
The application is free for those looking for a position. Recruiters must pay a subscription allowing the company to get paid. Please note that a free plan called Free Connect applies to offers relating to internships, training and work-study programs. Workeez Connect is used by more than 70 companies including major brands such as Burger King or the National Police.
If the platform is available throughout France, it currently affects around fifty departments. Its management hopes to capitalize on its upcoming arrival in the France Travail Employment Store to potentially reach 6 million job seekers. If it is successful, a launch abroad will not be ruled out.
Workeez Connect wants to raise funds
Such growth requires significant human and financial resources. The company, which employs around thirty people, has therefore decided to open up its capital to seek investors as part of fundraising. “ We presented an entry ticket worth 400,000 euros for 10% of Workeez Connect », explains Laurent Legrain.
At the same time, Workeez is strengthening its positioning in the world of digital recruitment through several complementary solutions: the Workeez Emploi agency and Workeez Club, a space dedicated to professional development and networking. The Workeez Agency division, for its part, plays a strategic role in promoting the group’s employer image.
