Xiaomi doesn’t hide the bugs in its operating system, and that’s to its credit. HyperOS 2 continues to reach more devices and release new updates, so it’s to be expected that, as with any operating system, no matter how well-maintained, it will occasionally display bugs.

However, Xiaomi has not only publicly acknowledged and reported all of these errors, but has also taken action to correct the most serious and urgent ones. Some of the affected phones have been the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, as well as some Redmi Note series, with functionality issues that may affect routine use of the phone.

Xiaomi’s software team is already working on this, with upcoming updates planned to address any remaining bugs.

Critical HyperOS bugs that have been recognized

In the official bug report that the company shared through the Xiaomi Community, it mainly mentions two major issues.

The first concerns the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro devices having trouble connecting to watches via Bluetooth. The brand itself claims that this issue will be resolved in the next update, expected to be released on April 10 , this Thursday.

As for the second issue, it seems to affect the Redmi Note 12S, which is reportedly experiencing slow charging issues. This seems to indicate that fast charging isn’t working even with chargers with these features. Here, unlike with the previous problem, Xiaomi technicians and engineers are still in the analysis phase and haven’t been able to provide a fix date. Fortunately, this error isn’t fatal, and although it can be annoying, knowing about it in advance can greatly alleviate the inconvenience it causes.

Other HyperOS bugs to be fixed in upcoming updates

Xiaomi has also identified other bugs that will be fixed in upcoming updates. These are the most important ones:

  • The POCO X7 Pro appears to be having issues with the control center, with one of its buttons not working properly.
  • On the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, there are problems downloading the Taobao app from the Google Play Store.
  • The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G also appears to be experiencing sudden and seemingly random crashes.
  • The Redmi Note 12S restarts without warning, also randomly.
  • The Xiaomi 15 Ultra experiences sudden Bluetooth disconnections.
  • On the Redmi Note 14, the voice recorder does not work.
  • Redmi Pad SE 8.7 tablet is experiencing random reboots.

Xiaomi itself tells us that if we are experiencing any of these problems or any other, we can provide feedback through the Feedback App or go to the official forums and provide the information about our case in the ROM subforum.

All of these errors are completely normal and occur constantly across all brands. However, Xiaomi always opts for a policy of complete transparency, supporting users and providing all the important information upfront to improve the user experience. Their practices so far make it clear that they don’t just claim to be doing so, but actually follow through.
