This means that in simple tasks it offers really high performance without consuming a large amount of energy. Its greatest strength is the ability to increase the battery life of a laptop.

Another important aspect is price. Getting the most powerful model with this type of chip is obviously cheaper than buying the most advanced laptop currently with an Intel or AMD processor, although this obviously has to do with the performance they offer, which is significantly superior. As you can imagine, having a lower power output could be a strong point for ARM, since it obviously means that it needs to use less energy, it also heats up less and is therefore easier to cool, meaning it makes less noise.

What are the problems with these models?

Just as each type of computer has advantages, it can also have several disadvantages that may prevent a user from purchasing it, and in the case of ARM laptops, the problems far outweigh the positive points. The first reason why many people would not resort to a model of this type has to do with compatibility. Although there is technically a way to officially integrate Windows into ARM, this does not imply that all programs designed for this OS are compatible, since the vast majority are created for the x64-86 architecture.

In addition to this, there are obviously many that simply won’t work due to the system’s lack of power. The vast majority of applications that require superior performance will experience a series of errors when running. In general, the negative points are quite serious because they focus on the computer’s performance. It’s pointless to have a long battery life if it can’t be used for even the most basic tasks.

Of course, for working in the cloud or with applications that don’t run directly on the PC, it can be a great solution, as it ultimately focuses on being operational for longer while better withstanding the passage of time as it doesn’t have as much pressure to reduce temperatures.
