There are inevitably ski resorts in the lot, such as Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne located at the foot of the 3 Valleys. The seaside is also there with Mont-Saint-Michel and Barcarès. Commenting on these results, Clément Eulry, Director of Airbnb France, underlines:
This winter, many French families are turning to Airbnb to escape and continue to discover the diversity of our territories. The accommodation offered by many hosts throughout the country allows families not only to come together but also to reduce the cost of vacations by benefiting in particular from practical on-site facilities such as a kitchen.
Stays abroad
Other vacationers go further, particularly overseas to Guadeloupe and Reunion, reports the service. Abroad, certain areas are also popular, such as Kittilä or Rovaniemi, to get closer to Santa Claus. Finally, Kyoyo and Tokyo in Japan and Milan in Italy are also popular among Airbnb users.
Few changes compared to 2023
This list ultimately reveals few surprises. In the ranking published last year, vacationers already favored mountainous areas and ski resorts. They also focused on sunny areas near the Bordeaux vineyards or even Nanterre, which is often in these Airbnb listings.
