It was a decision that went relatively unnoticed. On October 18, the Paris judicial court ordered the blocking of 26 piracy sites which gave Internet users access to cultural works. Let’s take stock.
The outlines of the decision
As stated Numeramathis verdict particularly targets streaming sites and, among them, certain well-known names. We think in particular of French-Stream, Zone-Téléchargement, PapyStreaming and HDS-Films.
At the request of the Union of Cinema Producers, the Digital Video Editing Union, the Association of Independent Producers, the National Federation of Film Editors, Gaumont and the Union of Independent Producers, the suppliers of French Internet access must block these platforms. In the list, we find the main ones: Free, Bouygues Telecom, Orange, SFR (and SFR Fiber).
