A few days ago, Apple released iOS 18.4 Release Candidate for all compatible iPhone models. This software update, still in beta, means the software is practically ready for public release. And now the company with the bitten apple has released a second version of iOS 18.4 RC.
The iOS 18.4 update for iPhone is one of the most significant in history. At least in Spain and other Latin American countries. This is because iOS 18.4 finally brings Apple Intelligence services with support for the Spanish language.
This revision of the iOS 18.4 RC software update was initially released to address potential bugs and fix system glitches. In other words, to polish the final details before the final version is released next week.
What is iOS 18.4 RC? Is it safe to install this update?
A Release Candidate version of iOS is a near-final version of the iPhone operating system. This version was formerly known as “Golden Master” (GM) but over the years has been renamed “Release Candidate” (RC). Apple always releases a series of beta software updates to developers and other users who want to test them before the official release of the final version to fix bugs reported by users.
As this is the software update immediately preceding the final version of iOS 18.4, it’s a completely safe update to install on your iPhone. However, at iPadizate we always recommend waiting a couple of weeks before installing it. The “official” iOS 18.4 update will be released in early April.
What’s new in iOS 18.4
The iOS 18.4 software update brings significant improvements to Apple’s iPhone. It features Apple Intelligence in Spanish, so all AI features like Genmoji, Graphic Wand, Notification Summaries, Visual Intelligence, and Clean Up are now available for use.
