More than three months after the presentation of the new updates during the WWDC 24 keynote, Apple is releasing the final version to its users. Thus, customers can now download and install the latest operating systems iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, watchOS, macOS 15 and visionOS 2. If you have opted for an iPhone 16, iOS 18 will obviously be pre-installed.

iOS 18 & iPadOS 18
iOS 18 introduces a host of new features, with a focus on deeper customization and more intuitive features. Users can now change icon colors, move multiple apps at once, and adjust Lock screen shortcuts for quick access to their favorite apps. Control Center has been redesigned with rounded icons and additional pages for smoother navigation.
The Messages app also gets major updates, allowing you to add reactions, schedule messages, communicate with Android via RCS, and even send SMS messages via satellite. The Maps app gets a detailed topographic view, perfect for hikers, while Wallet gets Tap to Cash in the United States to make it easier to transfer money between nearby iPhones. Plus, a Game Mode optimizes performance by allocating more resources to graphics and data processing.
Apple is also strengthening its artificial intelligence offering with the Apple Intelligence service, which offers generative writing tools, intelligent notification prioritization, and advanced features such as image generation and call transcription for more efficient management of emails and messages.
Install iOS 18
To install the update, first make a backup and check that you have about 8 GB free. Then, make sure that your device has enough battery life and a Wi-Fi connection.
Then go to the app Settings Then “General” > “Software update” to install iOS 18 or iPadOS 18.
macOS 15 Sequoia
On the Mac side, Apple is launching macOS 15 Sequoiaa major update for its computers, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and continuity between the brand’s devices. Among the new flagship features, iPhone mirroring allows you to display and interact with your iPhone screen directly on the Mac, simplifying the sharing of content and the management of notifications from the computer. macOS 15 also improves window management, inspired by the Windows system, and offers new features for FaceTime, such as customizable backgrounds and a preview before screen sharing.
Native apps also get improvements, as do games, with an even more optimized Game Mode for a better experience.
Install macOS Sequoia
To test the new version of macOS 15, open the app System Settings Then “General” > “Software Update“.
watchOS 11
During the WWDC 2024Apple also presented watchOS 11 for its smartwatches, with many improvements focused on health and user experience. This new version introduces the “Training Load” feature, which analyzes sports efforts over several days, the ability to pause activity circles in case of injury, as well as the “Vital Signs” application to monitor essential data such as heart rate. Not to mention sleep apnea detection for the Apple Watch 9, 10 and Ultra 2.
Users will also be able to enjoy new watch faces generated by artificial intelligence. Other new features include the extension of the Double Tap function to third-party apps, new exercises with improved GPS tracking, and Live Activities to receive real-time notifications, as well as a new Tides app.
Finally, watchOS 11 enriches the customization options for swimming and hiking in American national parks via Apple Maps, and introduces connectivity features like “Check In”, to inform your loved ones of your arrival, and Tap to Cash to send money between Apple Watch or iPhone devices in the United States.

To install it, go to the “Watch” app on iPhone, then “My Watch” > “General” > “Software Update”.
tvOS 18
The update tvOS 18 brings its share of new features for Apple TV boxes.
Among the main features, we find InSightwhich displays metadata while playing content Apple Originals when the video is paused (like Amazon X-Ray), providing information about actors and music, with direct access to Apple Music. For movie buffs, support for 21:9 projectors is now available, providing greater visual immersion.
On the audio side, the functionality “Improved Dialogues”which uses machine learning to isolate voices, is now available on all devices, including TVs and receivers, in addition to HomePod. Captions also automatically turn on at key moments, like when the sound is muted or a scene is replayed.
Finally, tvOS 18 features new screensavers, including an animation featuring Snoopy, while improving Apple Fitness+ and integration HomeKitwhich enables simplified hub management and guest access for greater flexibility.
Install tvOS 18
To install the update, you don’t have to do anything, the Apple TV will do it for you. Otherwise, you can force the installation by going to Settings > System > Software updates.
visionOS 2
Latest update of the day with visionOS 2, the operating system for Vision Pro headsets.
The first major update for the mixed reality headset brings notable improvements to the system. This version simplifies gestures to quickly access the control center and integrates SharePlay to the photo library. The Photos app now lets you generate spatial photos from 2D images using AI, and Travel mode even works on trains. Also new is that it is now possible to connect a mouse to the headset.
The update also improves Mac desktop extension with higher resolution and ultra-wide display, while reducing compression artifacts with foveated rendering. Additionally, visionOS 2 automatically recognizes keyboards Magic Keyboard And MacBook in an immersive environment, making their use more fluid. Guest mode has been optimized, and several key applications, such as Safari, TV And Mindfulnessbenefit from new immersive features.
Among other additions, users can enjoy the multi-view in the Apple TV app to follow multiple sporting events at the same time, while the app Mindfulness introduces the “Breathing” function. Finally, visionOS 2 adds support for live captions and allows you to reorganize the Vision Pro home screen for improved customization.
