Last week, Apple unveiled the new iPad mini 7, which retains the same design as its predecessor but is now equipped with the powerful A17 Pro chip allowing access to AAA games and Apple Intelligence tools. While the iPad has been available in stores since this morning, Apple has just deployed the iPadOS 18.0.1 update.

Although Apple presents theiPad mini 7 as being ready for Apple Intelligencethe tablet comes with the first version ofiPadOS 18.0 published in September. However, with the release of theiPadOS 18.1 confirmed for next week, users will have a minor update in the meantime.
The iPadOS 18.0.1 version number for iPad mini 7 is 22A8380which is different from the version for other iPads (22A3370). As soon as you receive your new iPad, it is recommended that you update it to the latest version by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
What’s new in iPad mini 7
