Apple has begun revealing an upcoming surprise for Apple TV+ scheduled for January 4-5, 2025, urging fans to “stay tuned” and “save the dates” via social media, including X and Instagram. But what is Apple’s “streaming” subsidiary preparing?
A gift to start the year at Apple TV+
Promotional images intrigue subscribers with the slogan “See for yourself”, leaving everyone’s imagination to work. Among the lot of speculations, the most plausible are complete free access to the catalog during these two days as well as a preview of new programs, series and films to come over the year.

Going by the tagline, the most likely is a free viewing period. However, the conditions which would allow access to it are not known to date.
While Apple has yet to hold a free event like this for Apple TV+, they do offer free trials to new subscribers and occasionally provide the first episode of a new series for free as a teaser. Since this morning, for example, it has offered the first eight minutes of season 2 of Severance, just to hook you.
Apple TV+ is currently priced at €9.99 per month, allowing up to six members of a Family Sharing group to enjoy content at that price. We have said it several times, the American brand stands out from other platforms thanks to exclusive and quality content, although the French programs are always quite disappointing, the American vision and the game in English not helping to find the expected authenticity.
