POCO's next big bet in the mid-high range, the POCO X8 Prohas just revealed one of its key points: autonomy. Its passage through SGS certification confirms a 6500 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging, designed for those who spend many hours playing and do not want to live stuck to the charger.
Until now, the rumors of its Chinese “twin”, the Redmi Turbo 5, talked about huge batteries, more than 7000 mAh. The certification, however, brings order: for the global version under the POCO brand, everything indicates that it will have a 6500 mAh batterystill well above what is usual in its segment.
A large capacity battery and a powerful charger
In the SGS database, the device appears with the model number 2511FPC34G and refers to a BM6Q battery, with 6330 mAh nominal and 6500 mAh typical. Along with it, a 100 W MDY-19-EX charger is mentioned, as well as USB-C, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.
With these specifications, it is reasonable to expect an autonomy of day and a half or two days of moderate useeven with large screens and high refresh rates. And when it's time to plug in, the 100 W should get close to a full charge in about half an hour, if it follows the line of other recent Xiaomis with somewhat smaller batteries.
What we know (and what is still a rumor) about the POCO X8 Pro

Although the certification only details battery, charging and connectivity, almost all eyes point to the fact that The POCO X8 Pro would be an international version of the Redmi Turbo 5 under the POCO brand for the global market. That model, still unreleased, has been leaked with a flat OLED screen between 6.5 and 6.67 inches, 1.5K resolution at 120 Hz and the new MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip manufactured with 3 nanometer technology.
In China there is talk of batteries of more than 7000 mAh for the Redmi Turbo 5, but everything indicates that the cut to 6500 mAh in the POCO X8 Pro would be due to factors such as weight, thickness and the certifications required in Europe. Even so, it would be a clear improvement over the POCO X7 Prowhich already offered around 6000 mAh with 90W fast charging.
Nearby launch and looking forward to seeing it in Spain
The leaks place the presentation of the Redmi Turbo 5 in China for December and the launch of POCO X8 series in international markets starting in January 2026, so it would not be unusual to see the POCO X8 Pro in Spain in the first quarter of the year. Regarding prices, there are still no reliable clues, but the logical thing is an adjusted price to maintain competitiveness in the range of 350-450 euros.
If these data are confirmed, the POCO In the end, that seems to be the combination that users currently value most. Would a mobile like this convince you as the next main phone or would you prefer POCO to cut the battery a little in exchange for making it lighter?
