A couple of weeks ago we announced that Google and Apple will work together. This is because Tim Cook's company is looking for support for its AI, and Siri is not as intelligent as they would like, at least not yet, so they will use Gemini to train her.

Today we will get closer to the question of many people, since, yes, we know that this will happen, but when will we be able to see it physically and on our own? Will Siri really be smarter one day, or is this just news that never comes?

When will we use Siri with Google on iPhone

It seems like the new Siri is still going to take a while to arrive. It's not something that Apple is going to release tomorrow, rather they are taking their time. The idea is to improve little by little, not to launch it half ready and that people get frustrated (which is already a lot with this issue).

What is expected is that Siri powered by Google Gemini will better understand what you say to it and be able to follow longer conversations without losing the thread (or at least that it will serve more than just telling the time). Nothing spectacular to look at, but an important change in how it responds and how useful it can be in daily life for jotting down notes, or just knowing some general information.

According to rumors (and some confirmations from the company), Apple will use Gemini technology within its own system. That is, it is not that Google is going to manage your data or control Siri, everything will remain within the Apple ecosystem and respecting your privacy. It is like taking the good of that AI without having to depend on another company, being able to adapt it to yours so that, in the future, you will no longer depend on others, and be 100% autonomous.

From what is said, this improved version would not arrive with the first major iOS update, but rather a little later, when it is more refined. This way Apple avoids releasing something that still causes problems and makes sure that it works well from the beginning. This means that, although We are all waiting for it for iOS 26.4it may not be like that, and it may be delayed again for a few more weeks (spring 2026)

And this doesn't end here. This would only be the first stage. Later, possibly at the end of 2026, an even more advanced version could arrivealmost like a complete chatbot that remembers what you tell it and maintains more natural conversations. However, with the rush that we see that Apple has on these issues, I would not get my hopes up, and I would take it easy.

In short, we are not going to see a revolutionized Siri tomorrow, but it does seem that Apple is preparing something that over time could be much more useful and that you would hardly notice how it is integrated into your daily life. A kind of ChatGPT or Gemini, which already work quite well, but adapted to the Apple ecosystem.
