Possibly, we all use the iPhone as alarm clockor even the Apple Watch, that leaving Alexa aside or other physical awakenings that we can have in our home. However, did you know that the MAC also has this function and is very useful?
I had never raised it, and although it is clear that there would have to be applications that simulated this, the own MacBook has the clock app incorporated, which would act as on iPhone, only independent of it, with its own specific alarms.
Mac
To use this function, we will not have to take large steps, and it will only be necessary to look in our Mac magnifying glass, or directly in the applications section, the app called clock, which is the same as on the iPhone, and open it.
Once inside we will see different sections, world clock – Alarms – Chronometer – Timers. We can go to the option we want, although in this case we are interested in the alarms.
When accessing them, we will realize that there is none, however, we can Add a new one In the +button, specifying not only the time of the day we want it to sound, but also the days of the week and the tone with which it will do so, that is, the same as we can configure on the iPhone.
Once configured, nothing else will have to be done, just wait for it to sound. Of course, depending on the configuration, it will only do it with the MAC on, or if we configure it at rest, so you will have to do with the use you want to give. In my case I always leave the MAC with a series or movie, and I usually sleep with it in the background, so it is ideal for me to wake up if I do not remember turning off the computer, however, in my case, I have not touched anything, and when I close it, it does not sound, so it is perfect if I forget to close the lid, but also if I do it, so I will not have to be aware of the alarm, and it will only sound.
Remember that, as we said, it will be independent of other teamsalready difference from synchronization with the iPhone in notes, history, icloud, etc., even though you put one in the MAC, it will not sound to you on the iPhone, take it into account.

Another important point is volume. You will have to configure it to your liking, since the MAC, unlike the iPhone, will have a very different volume, and may even deactivated, so look good, at least if you want it to sound, and do not pass without wanting to you. You can perform a test before putting the real alarm.
And you, did you know that your Mac has alarm clock? The truth is that I do not, and now I am avoiding falling asleep seeing a series forgetting to put the alarm on my iPhone, so I always have a double security, although, as I said, if I wake up and close the cover voluntarily, it will no longer sound.
