GeForce NOW enhances its service by transforming any device into a high-performance GeForce RTX gaming PC, including the Apple Vision Pro, expanding cloud gaming access to AAA titles on more devices and regions.
As explained at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, NVIDIA should also introduce a native GeForce NOW app for the Steam Deck later this year, allowing players to enjoy their Steam library in RTX quality.
New machines
Collaborations with Apple, Meta and ByteDance will soon bring the capabilities of the GeForce NOW gaming streaming service to devices like the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S and Pico VR headsets, integrating ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS for a richer gaming experience. Good news for the rare subscribers who have headphones at home.
RTX on Deck
GeForce NOW’s integration with the Steam Deck will enable 4K streaming at 60fps with HDR, leveraging cloud-based RTX platforms for less local processing, saving battery life. With a GeForce NOW Ultimate subscription, Steam Deck users will benefit from DLSS 3 for higher frame rates and NVIDIA Reflex for lower latency, ensuring a top-notch gaming experience in various configurations, from the handheld console to streaming TV. The American firm does not say whether its servers will be equipped with RTX 50 cards.
Stream in MR
GeForce NOW will soon support virtual and mixed reality gaming through partnerships, bringing immersive gaming to devices like the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3. Members can expect to play games on Giant virtual displays with enhanced visuals thanks to RTX and DLSS support.
New AAA games
New AAA titles are on the horizon for GeForce NOW, including “Avowed,” where players explore an adventurous island with a mix of magic and weapons, and “DOOM: The Dark Ages,” featuring an origin story for the DOOM Slayer. These games will be available at launch for Ultimate members, who will be able to enjoy up to 4K resolution at 120 fps with advanced NVIDIA technologies.
GeForce NOW could also land on iOS natively, but for the moment, you will still have to go through Safari. This goes for the iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro. Damage.
