Apple is a hit in the smartphone, tablet, connected watch and wireless earphone markets. On the other hand, the firm has failed to establish itself in the market for connected home devices, in which it faces stiff competition from Google and Amazon. However, Apple has not yet given up on its ambitions in this area. And obviously, for next year, he is preparing a series of new products for the house.

Connected home: Apple products in preparation

In a recently published article, our colleagues at 9to5Mac brought together the various information on Apple’s plans for the connected home, which were published by Mark Gurman, journalist at Bloomberg. As a reminder, Gurman is one of the most reliable sources of unofficial information on future Apple products. And among the future products mentioned by this journalist, there is a connected screen.

Apple already offers speakers that allow you to interact with Siri. On the other hand, unlike Google and Amazon, the company does not offer a connected screen for the home. But obviously, the first Apple connected screen could arrive in 2025. This product should be similar to Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo Show. In addition to offering a means of entertainment, via its screen, this product should above all serve as a control center for other connected devices.

Besides this, Apple could also launch a new version of its Apple TV 4K. And according to 9to5Mac, this new version could include support for Apple Intelligence, a more powerful chip (A18 or 17), and use Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips.

Finally, there are also rumors circulating about a new HomePod mini connected speaker. But, as usual, as this information does not come from an official source, caution is required for the moment. In any case, it is possible that with the arrival of Apple Intelligence, Apple’s strategy has changed.

  • Apple struggles to gain a foothold in the connected home devices market
  • But in 2025, the firm would offer a new range of products, including a connected screen similar to Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo Show
  • The firm could also offer a new version of the Apple TV 4K, which could support Apple Intelligence
