Well, Instagram wanted to copy this function, and, from its next update, you will be able to share this location in real time with anyone, all through private messages, so it cannot be forwarded, shared or anything like that, and only that person will know. Likewise, if you have a group on Instagram, it will also be allowed, something very similar to what we see on WhatsApp.
The only difference is that in this case, Sharing is only allowed for 1 hourfor security, and if you need it to be longer, you must activate it again after that period. For the rest, at least at first glance, we do not see differences, and it is a tool that does not have much explanation, so nothing, we will simply have another option to share our location, which is very good, especially for people who, at less for now, whether it’s work or leisure, we don’t want them to have our number, and then there will be no need to pass it on to continue the conversation on WhatsApp.
According to screenshots leaked by some beta usersthe option will be available within the chats, right next to the icon to send images. This will allow the experience to be intuitive and not require complicated configurations to activate it. Of course, like all versions of this style, a friend may receive it before you, since Instagram is usually characterized by going activating these new features randomlyand not to all at the same time, although we understand that in the next update it will be officially released for everyone, and we will be able to test it, to see if it works exactly the same as in WhatsApp, or not.
