ios 18 iconFor less than an hour, Apple has made the Release Candidate of iOS 18.1 available on its servers, this is the last beta update before the official deployment for all users which will take place next week. This latest trial software version allowed Apple developers to add several fixes for the iPhone 16.

iOS 18.1 RC fixes several bugs

Have you recently acquired one of the new iPhone 16s and have you noticed some unpleasant bugs during use? Good news, Apple has taken into account all the feedback to its technical department as well as on the support forums to add a large number of fixes in the iOS 18.1 update which will be released over the next week.

The new iOS 18.1 version will bring some new features such as a selfie option in the Camera application or even new buttons in the control center. In addition to the changes, Apple has added several fixes to improve the user experience.

With iOS 18.1, iPhone 16 owners will benefit from several fixes:

  • Fixes an issue where iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro models may restart unexpectedly
  • Fixes an issue where digital car keys may fail to unlock or start a vehicle with passive entry after restoring from a backup or transferring directly from another iPhone
  • Fixes an issue in the Apple Podcast app where podcast episodes may appear as played even though they have never been played
  • Fixes an issue where videos recorded in 4K at 60 frames per second could exhibit stuttering when scrolling through playback in the Photos app. This happened when the iPhone was hot

All these fixes are coming next week in the official deployment of the iOS 18.1 update. For now, the developers are making final updates to remove the remaining bugs.
