The year 2024 is literally coming to an end, which means we’re only six months away from unveiling Apple’s future software updates, including iOS 19. To celebrate, while Apple doesn’t has still not delivered all of the new features of iOS 18, designer oofus offers us some good ideas to improve the experience on iPhone next year. Remember that we recently exclusively published the list of iPhones compatible with iOS 19.
Personalization
The first flagship feature of this concept is the ability to add stickers directly to the iPhone lock screen. Apple has recently focused on personalization, with features such as home screen and lock screen widgets, time font and app icon tint. So, adding stickers to the lock screen would be the logical next step, why not with iOS 19. The user would place them wherever they want, for example over the time or a widget.
In the same vein, the concept imagines themes for iMessage, classic with white, blue or pink background. Something to please everyone, although a completely customizable option wouldn’t be amiss.
Pictures
The other big novelty of this concept is “Flick”, a functionality that would simplify sending photos and videos to other iPhone owners. Like sharing a contact with NameDrop, simply drag a photo to the Dynamic Island to send it to the nearest phone.
In addition, there is a proposed update for the screenshot interface which, aided by Apple Intelligence, allows certain elements to be easily extracted, such as a QR Code here.
These are just a few ideas, but they are relevant. Especially since the achievement is worthy of Apple.
Of course, the fact that a feature appears in a concept does not guarantee its inclusion in future iOS updates. However, Apple probably takes inspiration from it every year, which doesn’t displease us.
