The RTX 5090 could be a 4090 tiso we collect the reviews of the reviews to see if it is.
The reviews we do seek to give you the greatest accuracy of what you are going to find in 1080p, 2K and 4K when there are graphics cards involved. With the NVIDIA RTX 5090 review we also tested the RTX 4080 Super or 4090, among others. We can affirm with certainty whether we are facing an rtx 4090 ti or not, so we go with it.
Let's start with RTX 3090 and 3090 TI
I was already lucky to do the Comparison of the NVIDIA RTX 3090 vs 3090 tiso I have some experience. This is the basis on which we started to be able to affirm that the RTX 5090 is a 4090 TI.

Data kills a story: we apply differences of difference for the 3090 you here:
- Same vram and same bus.
- 7.7% more bandwidth and memory speed.
- 2.4% more hardware units.
- 29% more TDP.
Gaming FPS averages without RT
These were the averages of FPS in Rasterization.
The data is as follows:
- +7.8% in 1080p.
- +10.3% in 1440p.
- +15.2% in 4k.
Gaming FPS averages with RT
And these were the averages of FPS with Ray Tracing and DLSS 2.
Let's go with the figures:
- +8.9% in 1080p.
- +10% in 1440p.
- +11% in 4k.
Consumption and temperatures
I will focus only on the loading data of both modalities:
- The RTX 3090 TI Consume +34%.
- The RTX 3090 TI is 1.5% hotter.

The concept has made me funny, so I'm going to find out first hand if it is an exaggerated statement or not. I will take the last concept of the RTX 3090 TI already exposed and then compare the new models briefly.

And these are the comparative data in favor of the RTX 5090:
- Different architectures.
- +33% in hardware units.
- +33% in Vram and Bus.
- +77% in bandwidth.
- +27% in TDP.
FPS without RT
We go with the average SPFs taken from the comparison.
Results:
- +3% in 1080p.
- +4.4% in 1440p.
- +20% in 4k.
FPS averages with RT
We arrive at the Ray Tracing, and keep in mind that this metric has been calculated without DLSS 4 in between. With that adjustment the increase would be barbarity.
- +3% in 1080p.
- +7% in 1440p.
- +23% in 4k.
Consumption and temperatures
Compared the consumption of RTX 4090 and 5090, it is time to see what we make clear from this.
I compare the data in charge for being more relevant, becoming clear that the RTX 5090:
- -4% in load consumption.
- -18.5% in temperatures.
Conclusions about whether RTX 5090 is a 4090 ti
According to our data and taking into account the comparison of RTX 3090 vs 3090 ti, I consider that the RTX 5090 is not a 4090 ti. It is clear that it is a superior GPU, which is a new generation and all this without DLSS 4 in between and multi frame generation x3 or x4.
And if it is not clear to you, I put this table that summarizes everything we have done throughout the post.

It is true that RTX 3090 TI increases by 1080p and 2K in solvent waybut In 4k the RTX 5090 is another roll. And I must say that the tests were done without DLSS 4, that if we activate it … Be clear that +50% in 4K without a doubt.
In fact, there are Consumption and temperatures surprises: It consumes less, it is cooler and over more fps. For me, it is more than clear that RTX 5090 is a GPU greater than 4090 and is not a mere vitamin version. Already with the fact that the increase in TDP is lower compared to 3090 you, it makes it clear that it is a next generation (and that brings the same node).
I have no doubt that Nvidia could have cut less at 1080p and 1440pand the truth is that I do not know why those small differences in those 2 resolutions. It seems that they wanted to focus everything at 4K, and makes sense because using an RTX 5090 for 1080p or 1440p … lacks it.
We recommend you best graphics cards.
