Apple has kicked off a week full of announcements, with a major update for its iconic 24-inch iMac. The device, which stands out for its elegant design and all-in-one functionality, now includes the powerful M4 chippromising unparalleled performance, above its predecessor, the M3.

The new iMac significantly improves its performance and the customization options it offers, thus adjusting to the demands of users, who were clamoring for an update like this. Your official departure date will be November 8 and is available in new colors, giving rise to a wide color range consisting of blue, purple, yellow, orange, pink, green and silver.
The 24-inch iMac with M4 chip not only improves processing power, but also sets new standards for core power. According to Apple, the M4 processor features the CPU core fastest in the world and offers 1.7 times the performance of the iMac with M1. In this way, it will be much more efficient and fluid in demanding tasks, from photo editing to gaming, experiencing an increase of up to 2.1 times in processing speed in these tasks.
With this new desktop computer, the Cupertino company establishes the base configuration for the 24-inch entry model in 16 GB of RAMdouble that of the previous version of the device, with the possibility of being increased up to 32 GB. As for storage, it starts at 256 GB, allowing users to choose between different capacity options, reaching up to 2 TB.
However, as for the panel, Tim Cook’s boys have chosen to maintain their renowned 4.5K Retina displaywhich offers a resolution of 4,480 by 2,520 pixels, a brightness of 500 nits and support for wide color gamut and True Tone. However, it introduces a novelty: the possibility of adding a nano-textured glass protector to minimize reflections. This ensures a clearer viewing experience in complex lighting conditions, which is very beneficial for editing professionals and graphics enthusiasts who require maximum control in this regard.
Twice as powerful as the iMac with M1 chip
The multimedia section also receives a boost, since the new iMac M4 includes a 1080p FaceTime HD cameraoptimized using an advanced image signal processor and computational video technology, ensuring sharp, high-quality images during video calls.
As for sound, Apple does not skimp on resources: a sound system six high fidelity speakers with support for spatial audio in Dolby Atmos, which promises an immersive listening experience. The new iMac is available now to reserve on Apple’s website from €1,519 in its 8-core CPU and GPU version. For the versions with 10 cores of CPPU and GPU, in addition to the Touch ID reader on the keyboard, the price stretches up to €1,769, leaving the latest version at €1,999, which increases its storage capacity to 512 GB.
