Honor has just officially presented the Honor 600 Lite, the first of its new 600 series, and it does so by launching it directly to the market: it is now on sale in Malaysia and Slovakia. It is an unusual combination of countries for a debut, although it has a certain logic if the intention is to gauge the response before a major expansion. The price in Europe starts at 300 euros in Slovakia; in Malaysia, from about MYR 1,299, which is equivalent to approximately $330.
In terms of design, the device follows the usual parameters of the segment: aluminum frame, glass back and IP66 certification against dust and water. It is not IP68, but at this price it is a detail that not all rivals can boast. The available colors are Desert Gold and Velvet Grey, two contained and elegant options.
A screen that boasts brightness (with good reason)
The screen is a panel 6.6 inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak local brightness of 6,500 nits. This last figure is striking: until relatively recently it was the exclusive territory of higher ranges. In practice, it should ensure decent visibility in direct sunlight. The panel integrates a fingerprint reader under the screen and a pill hole for the 16-megapixel front camera.
The processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elitewith 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It is a more than solvent chip for everyday use, with no pretensions to competing in raw performance. There is one point that deserves attention: the absence of hardware decoding of AV1, a codec that YouTube increasingly uses. Some users have already pointed this out in forums, and it is a factor to take into account if video consumption is an important part of regular use.

Huge battery, legacy camera
The highlight of the Honor 600 Lite is its battery 6,520 mAh with 45W fast charging. With that capacity, exceeding two days of autonomy with moderate use is a reasonable goal. The charging speed is not the most aggressive on the market, but it is adequate for a battery of this size.
The rear camera system is inherited directly from the Honor 400 Lite: 108 megapixel main sensor and 5 megapixel wide angle. Honor hasn't touched the module, and that decision says something about the device's priorities. The 108 MP sensor can deliver reasonable results in good light, but in more demanding situations the performance remains to be seen. The software runs on MagicOS 10, based on Android 16with integrated AI functions and a physical button dedicated to the camera.
At 300 euros, the Honor 600 Lite has a clear proposal: bright screen, generous battery and solid construction. The concessions are in the processor and, above all, in a camera module that already has a cycle on it. Faced with direct rivals such as Redmi Note 15 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy A56the decision will depend on which variables each user weighs most.
