It’s an event that some wouldn’t miss for anything in the world. La Poste is therefore offering an auction of products that could not be delivered to their recipients. This year, this event will be organized on December 6, 2024 at the Nantes Auction House, located 24, rue du Marché commun and online.
Good deals in perspective
On the site Interencheres.comwe can already examine this collection of 230 lots of high-tech products and toys which will be exhibited that day. The least we can say is that there will be something for everyone, and here is a very far from exhaustive list that we have noted: Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 laptop, Xgimi Halo video projector, Dyson V15 Detect Fluffy vacuum cleaner, Moulinex i-Companion Touch XL cooking robot, Delonghi Rivelia coffee machine, Sonos Era 300 speaker, DJI Mini 3 drone, or even Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console, Insta360 Go 3S 128GB camera, and Dyson PH03 air purifier.
By the way, why does La Poste collect all these lots? David Resse, Director of the Mail Customer Service Establishment of the public company, explained last year to BFM TV : “It sometimes happens that certain packages cannot be delivered because the label is missing, the writing is illegible or the sender does not exist. These products are repatriated to a site, the only one authorized to open the packages to find the recipient. But sometimes it is impossible to trace the sender or recipient”.
The 2023 edition also allowed regulars to score good deals. One of the participants explained to our colleagues as follows: “I spot certain lots and I go to see the prices on the Internet to set a price”.
A day for a good cause
Unfortunately, prices sometimes tend to skyrocket. Like this mother who had planned a budget of 500 to 600 euros for a PlayStation 5 which was ultimately sold for 900 euros. Likewise, a vacuum cleaner estimated at 240 euros was finally sold for 600 euros.
No matter, customers also know that the income from this auction is donated to a good cause. Thus, all the profits will go to the Association of Families of Disabled Children of the Post and Orange (AFEH).
