Netflix launches Moments, a new sharing option on iOS. Moments allows you to record a few seconds of any content to share it on networks. The company hopes to attract even more curious users.
Netflix has found a convenient way to advertise without spending a single cent. The streaming giant has just launched a new feature called Moments. His interest? Record, relive and above all share a scene from a film or series to your contacts and on social networks.
When a user is watching content on their iPhone, they simply select the button Moments of the video player at the right time. The last seconds are then recorded and saved in the tab My Netflix. The extract can be viewed at any time and even allows you to restart exactly at that moment in the film or series. We’re talking about just a few seconds.
Better yet, the recorded extract can be shared with anyone, but also on social networks. But don’t think that your news feed is going to be filled with spoilers everywhere. Share a Moments allows you to display a redirect link to Netflix in the post. You must therefore click on this link and go to Netflix to watch the video.
This obviously helps prevent the best scenes from being leaked on the web but above all encourages even more people to go to the platform. Netflix is convinced that some people will fall for it and take out a subscription to see the film or series in full.
Netlfix Moments is exclusively available on the iOS application at first. Android will have to wait a few more weeks. The latest app update is required, check on the App Store.
