Although iOS has been completely adapted to dark mode since iOS 13not all elements take advantage of the OLED screens of modern iPhones, particularly to optimize battery life. With the OledKeyboard tweak, the system keyboard goes from dark gray to black, to turn off a majority of pixels.

To preserve the battery and your eyes, the developer dayanch96 has created OledKeyboard, a free tweak that optimizes the keyboard for OLED displays using true black tones, providing a more authentic dark mode experience.
The developer presented his tweak on /r/jailbreakwith a warm welcome from the community. However, similar tweaks already existed before. For example, Dark Keys Rebornreleased in 2021, offered similar functionality for devices running iOS 14. However, OledKeyboard stands out by supporting iOS 15 and later versions like iOS 16 and iOS 17, including the latest rootless jailbreaks and RootHide bootstrap.
The tweak is simple, there are no adjustments to make after installation. Once dark mode is activated on your iPhone, OledKeyboard automatically changes the appearance of the keyboard. If dark mode is still enabled, you will see the new keyboard permanently. If you never use dark mode, then this tweak will be useless to you.
