Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.
The Fabelmans (France 2, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the synopsis proposed by 20 Minutes :
Passionate about cinema, Sammy Fabelman spends his time filming his family. If he was encouraged in this direction by his mother, Mitzi, who had an artistic temperament, his father Burt, an accomplished scientist, considered his passion to be above all a hobby. Over the years, Sammy, by pointing his camera at his parents and sisters, has become the documentarian of family history! He even made small, increasingly sophisticated amateur films, performed by his friends and his sisters. But when his parents decide to move to the west of the country, he discovers a shocking reality about his mother which shakes up his relationship with her and changes his future and that of his loved ones.
You have to see this touching and gripping autobiographical story where Steven Spieberg has put all his heart.
Out of reach (Arte, 8:50 p.m.)
Jack Foley is a charismatic burglar who ended up behind bars in a Louisiana prison. Dreaming of freedom, her path will, in a totally improbable way, cross that of a policewoman. It’s the start of an adventure that will take them where neither could have imagined.
This film by Steven Soderbergh hits the mark by bringing together on screen the duo George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez which works well. Without being a total masterpiece, this feature film remains very pleasant to follow.
Mom (TFX, 9:05 p.m.)
According to the summary proposed by TF1 Pro:
Aline and Sandrine are sisters. When their mother, who ignored them for 20 years, arrives in Paris after a stormy divorce, the reunion is tumultuous. Aline and Sandrine strike a blow and kidnap their mother to obtain the love they never received.
With its daring black humor, this comedy succeeds in its mission and clearly holds up. Particularly thanks to the female trio: Josiane Balasko, Mathilde Seigner, and Marina Foïs.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Irreducible (W9, 9:10 p.m.), Ghosts against Scotland Yard (TF1 Series/Films, 9:05 p.m.), and The fall of London (TF1, 9:10 p.m.).
