Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.
Jumanji: Next Level (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the synopsis proposed by Sony Pictures:
The team is back in Jumanji: Next Level, but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover a completely unexpected world. From arid deserts to snow-capped mountains, players will have to brave unknown and unexplored spaces in order to escape the most dangerous game in the world.
Critics have not been very kind to this sequel to the first part released in 2017, deploring gags very similar to those of the previous film. The best thing is probably to watch this feature film to form your own opinion.
The Scam (Arte, 9 p.m.)
We are in Chicago in the 1930s. The duo of Johnny Hooker and Coleman unintentionally steal the cash conveyor belt from Doyle Lonnegan, one of New York’s biggest thugs. Coleman is shot dead on the spot and Johnny is forced to take refuge with Henry Gondorff, a notorious con artist. The revenge has only just begun.
George Roy Hill creates a little gem here by bringing together the legendary actor duo Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Very funny, this production also does not lack rhythm. To see and see again.
Little Nicolas’ vacation (W9, 9:10 p.m.)
According to M6: “It’s the end of the school year. The long-awaited vacation time has arrived. Little Nicolas, his parents and Mémé take the road towards the sea, and settle in at the Hôtel Beau-Rivage ».
If this feature film does not reach the creativity of the comic strips of Sempé and Goscinny, it nonetheless remains a pleasant family show which can count on a very solid cast: Valérie Lemercier, Kad Merad, Mathéo Boisselier (very good in the role of little Nicolas), or even Dominique Lavanant and François-Xavier Demaison.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Storm (France 2, 9:10 p.m.), Hancock (TF1, 11:20 p.m.), and Dragons 3 (6ter, 9:10 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
