Pinnacle is a new tweak available on the repo Havoc for our jailbroken iPhones and iPads. It is developed by rugmj and is heavily inspired by tweaks like Apex, also known as Zenith. The goal is to improve the springboard experience by creating application stacks.
Pinnacle Tweak Preview
If you’re familiar with the Apex 2 tweak that let you nest related app icons underneath each other on the home screen, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s back, sort of, with Pinnacle for iOS 16. Apex, and then Zenith, didn’t survive Apple’s major updates, with the former starting with iOS 9.
Much like Apple’s folder system, Pinnacle lets you add apps to a hidden interface beneath a particular app, called a “stack.” For example, if you have a favorite finance app (your bank), you can place all your other apps of the same type beneath it for easy access.
To create a stack, simply tap and hold on any icon on the springboard. Then, when the interface shakes, you can swipe up on the app icon you want to add a stack to, and you’ll see “+” buttons above, below, to the left, and to the right of the app icon. You can tap these buttons to add any app.
To remove apps from the stack, switch back to “edit” mode by holding down on an icon.
Once installed, Pinnacle has a few settings:
-
- Enable or disable Pinnacle on demand
-
- Set a fade amount via a slider
-
- Configure the fade duration using a slider
-
- Configure the duration of the icon movement via a slider
-
- Configure animation spring damping via slider
-
- Set the initial spring speed via a slider
-
- Respring to save the changes you made.
Please note that Pinnacle is designed to work only with jailbroken iOS 16 devices (palera1n or dopamine). It is available for purchase for $1.49 in the Havoc repository via any package manager app like Cydia, Sileo, Zebra, and other Installer.

Additionally, Pinnacle, unlike its predecessors, is fully open-source. A good idea to ensure the code but above all to allow it to be taken over by another developer in the event of a need.
