Samsung prepares for a big conference with the Galaxy S25 series as a beachhead, at its event January Unpacked from January 22. However, the spotlight isn’t just on smartphones; the event should include teasers for other products including “Galaxy Glass” connected glasses.

An event focused on innovation

According to our friends at DigitimesSamsung plans to introduce the Galaxy Ring 2 at this event, just as they teased the first model during Galaxy Unpacked on January 17, 2024. After the initial teaser, the Galaxy Ring was revealed in February and launched in July alongside of Samsung’s foldable phones, the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. The second iteration is expected to feature improved health sensors and a longer-lasting battery.

Samsung’s smart glasses are also on the agenda. While Samsung has already presented “ Project Moohan », an XR headset, in collaboration with Google’s Android XR in December, it’s a safe bet that the Korean firm will unveil its first connected glasses, the Galaxy Glass. These competitors of Meta’s Ray-Bans should integrate Google’s Gemini AI and would weigh around 50 grams. No specific release date has been set yet, but prototypes have been shown to select media.

The event will also look at new Galaxy AI features for the Galaxy S25 series, which are rumored to include personalized clothing recommendations and transportation information services.

Enough to put a little more pressure on Apple, which is behind on all these subjects. Besides, could an Apple Ring interest you, instead of an Apple Watch for example?
