Lars Fröder, the developer behind the Dopamine jailbreak and permanent signature tool TrollStore, also known for the opa334dev account on X, recently shared a preview of a “Lite” version of TrollStore. A long-requested version for fans.

A kind of TrollStore 3?

If you follow the exploits of this genius developer, you probably know that he had mentioned this idea as early as January last year. However, due to his many ongoing projects, he was only able to devote himself to this “TrollStore Lite” recently.

In a publication on XFröder teased TrollStore Lite saying: “Better late than never,” accompanying his message with a screenshot of the app.

But what will TrollStore Lite be used for?

According to Fröder, TrollStore registers all permanently signed applications as system applications, which can cause problems in certain situations.

TrollStore Lite, on the other hand, is designed for jailbroken devices and only works when the device is in jailbreak mode. If AppSync is installed, TrollStore Lite will save signed apps permanently as user apps. Otherwise, it will treat them as system apps, just like regular TrollStore.

So AppSync is not essential, but when you have it, TrollStore Lite reveals its full potential.

Fröder compares this process to installing .ipa files via Filza, but with the added benefit of a sleek graphical user interface. TrollStore Lite bypasses the hassle of installing and registering applications as system.

You can still use the regular TrollStore to install and permanently sign your jailbreak, but TrollStore Lite offers an alternative solution to install and sign your other less critical apps via AppSync, bringing more flexibility. If you didn’t understand anything, then you don’t need TrollStore Lite 😊.

At the moment, TrollStore Lite is not yet ready to be rolled out to the general public. We will update the blog when it is!

EDIT 04/09:
TrollStore Lite is available on !

The app offers a similar experience to TrollStore on jailbroken iOS. Unlike TrollStore, it is not limited to versions supported by a CoreTrust bug, instead relying on bypassing the code included in the jailbreak.

This is basically a frontend for installing .ipa files. When AppSync is not installed, installed applications are saved as system applications and the records can be refreshed via the TrollStore Lite application. When AppSync is installed, installed applications are saved as user applications and the records persist automatically.

For users who already use the full TrollStore on jailbroken iOS, there is an option to transfer all installed apps to the TrollStore Lite. Perfect!
