Surely if you use Instagram or another social network, you have already seen some friends showing the Spotify Wrapped 2025that annual summary that tells us the number of minutes we have been listening to music, or the artist and song we have played the most.
It's curious, since sometimes it teaches us things that we didn't even remember, because it is a beginning of the year marked by an album, or simply that a song that we played a lot in February went out of fashion, but we already forgot about it. Hence we all like this summary.
Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay 2025 available
Every December streaming music services give us a summary of the year, and in 2025 Spotify and Apple Music do it in quite different ways. Apple Music Replay focuses on showing you concrete data: how long you listened to music, what were your favorite artists and songs, the albums you repeated the most and even the lists you used the most. All this is accompanied by a playlist with the highlights of the year, ideal for reliving your musical moments in an orderly and uncomplicated manner.
Spotify Wrapped, on the other hand, focuses on the visual and the fun. Not only does it show you your top songs and artists, but it does so with eye-catching graphics, ready-to-share cards, and games that invite you to compare your musical year with that of your friends. Plus, this year, Wrapped brings new features like a summary of your favorite albums and recommendations based on your listening history, making discovering new music part of the experience.
The main difference between the two is the style. Apple Music Replay offers a more serious and detailed look at your music habits, while Spotify Wrapped seeks to thrill and entertain, turning your year in music into something to share and enjoy. In addition, access also changes: Replay is only available to subscribers, while Wrapped can be viewed even on free accounts, although some extra features require a subscription.
In the end, both do the same thing: help you see and remember everything you heard during the year. If you like to analyze your habits and have a complete summary, Replay is your option. If you prefer something more visual, interactive and social, Wrapped will offer you fun and surprises as you look back on your musical year. Of course, it is already too late to choose, since it will show you the summary of your year, so you do not have time to change, in case you like the other app more, and you will only be able to consider it for next 2026, although we will not know what this summary will be like in 12 months.
And you, are you more into Spotify or Apple Music? The truth is that, in my case, with Apple's One plan, and having all the brand's devices, it is much more comfortable and economical to use the Music app itself, so, although Spotify's annual summary is more fun, I will have to stick with what Tim Cook and his company show us, which is not bad either.
