Despite the initiatives of the government and parliamentarians, telephone canvassing remains a real scourge in France. In some cases, these practices even escalate into outright scams which can cost victims dearly. Ryan Moreau, a 23-year-old butcher from Rouen, has launched an application that allows you to block these annoying phone calls.
A controlled blockage
Baptized Blocker prefixthis free service available on the Google Play Store can bring a breath of fresh air to people bothered by these practices. Quoted by Paris Normandyhe explains as follows:
My app not only signals that a call is likely solicitation, but also blocks the call and does not make the phone ring. In addition, it is adjustable and can block calls and numbers on demand.
On the Google store, Internet users seem very satisfied with this service. The app gets a flattering rating of 4.8 out of 5. One user comments:

A personal approach
It all actually started from a discussion between colleagues about these painful cold calls. Ryan Moreau was suggested to develop his own application and he launched. The process will take him two months, and even if the young man has always been passionate about computers, he nevertheless had to learn to code in Java. It was also necessary to register Blocker prefix and have it accepted by the Play Store, which again took a little time to come to fruition.
Next, the developer hopes to create an app to block fraudulent SMS messages. He also wants to develop a video game, specifies the regional daily. However, he does not want to leave his profession as a butcher, which remains a profession that he chose out of passion, even if he does not refrain from changing in the years to come if a good opportunity presents itself.
A new blocking system launched in France
As a reminder, a number authentication mechanism (MAN) was launched in France on October 1. All operators must cut off non-compliant calls. To do this, they have set up a system to detect fraudulent phone calls. Concretely, the targets of these scams are not even aware of the attempt.
