At the beginning of October 2024, more than 27,000 Cybertrucks were recalled following a problem with the reversing camera. Certain vehicles were in fact prey to a surprising bug, materializing in a delay in the appearance of the reversing camera. The latter took two seconds to appear after the vehicle was put into reverse. However, it seems that the first Cybertruck models are affected by a battery problem, which would be (more or less) discreetly resolved by the manufacturer.
Would the Tesla Cybertruck (also) have a battery problem?
Indeed, certain owners of a Tesla Cybertruck have been contacted by the brand, the latter having been invited to return their vehicle to the dealership, very often to overcome “minor issues“. And if some thought they would recover their precious electric vehicle the same day, they ultimately had to wait sometimes two weeks to get back on board the car.
Via Facebook, a Cybertruck owner indicates that among the “minor issues” taken care of by the manufacturer, we find the replacement of the battery, no less, the fault of certain dented cells which could have proved problematic.
By cross-checking several testimonies, we realize that several Cybertrucks (in particular the models delivered during the first half of 2024) have had the same experience, namely returning to the workshop to resolve small minor problems, but ultimately changing the battery. . The reason is always the same, namely damaged cells, which could cause problems in the more or less near future.
On the side of the American manufacturer, there is no official recall concerning its Cybertruck, citing such a battery problem. According to some, this would be a relatively minor and isolated problem, and therefore not capable of being the cause of an official recall. Others believe that the American giant is playing the discretion card to avoid yet another scandal concerning its Cybertruck, which has already been recalled several times during the year 2024.
The electric pick-up has already made headlines regarding a problem with the windshield wipers, but also a problem with the accelerator pedal, not to mention a bug on the font size at the start of the year , regarding warning lights.
