Among its characteristics to highlight or the most important to be able to tell that cannot be seen in a simple photo, is the batterysince these products work via Bluetooth, without the need for cables, so they will have to be charged from time to time, but how long is that time?
Autonomy of a Magic Keyboard
The first thing to keep in mind is that this keyboard has an on and off button, which will change its autonomy, however, in my case, I have never turned it off, and let’s say that I leave it “suspended”, well I only touched that button the day I bought it.
With this type of use (which will use more battery) I have been using the device for 15 days, about 8 hours a dayand the result is a remaining 65%that is, with the same regularity, we would talk about between 1 and 2 months of autonomy without charging it and without ever turning it off, with about 8 hours a day of writing, since you see what I do, which will spend much more than someone who I don’t have to type so much.
Besides, Charging is done in about 2 hours.and we can use it with a cable (included with the product) while we use it, that is, if we go on vacation for a week or fifteen days, we will not have to worry, if we carry this product, about charging it, and together with the Mac Mini (which It really is mini) we will have a complete pack to go anywhere with it.
If we talk about the TrackPad, things are very similar, and both maintain a similar percentage, we will see who ends up winning, but whatever the case, the autonomy of both is exceptional and more than enough, because, personally, I wouldn’t mind charging them every 3 weeks either. , if only I have to plug them in while working with them. The important thing for me is to at least not have to worry if I take them, and not have to carry the cable, knowing that they will last for days and days, no matter how much use I give them.
It is true that one of its reasons for lasting so long is not having a backlit keyboard, something that other imitations do have, which obviously means that its battery lasts much longer, although for now I have not missed it either, and when using it with a monitor that already reflects a lot of light, in my case I have not needed it, although I understand that it may be one of those points against that we take away from the device, since, as we have seen, the battery is not one of they.
