A few months ago, Apple surprised us with a new native application of its systems, called Invitationsand that, first, it was very attractive to us, since I had many interesting things that, if you became fashionable, and made people use it, could be more than useful.
However, although the company is huge, and it will know more than us, we do not understand very well some points that make this app, at least on our part, it is not used, and we could have something global, which currently only a few use.
What has improved in the application of invitations
First, we will comment on the novelty that Apple has taken these days, and for which we are doing this news, and that is that Invitations currently has new image fundsone of the most important points of it, since visually, attracts a lot.
Apple comments that the added funds are ideal for planning a pool day, taking something with friends or any party, so we will now have more options to create our event and that it is visually attractive.
Among these, we find: clouds, a slice of lime in soda water, lemon slices in punch, an icy beer, slices of watermelon, an inner pool tube, a disco ball, orchid flowers, bamboo sprouts, an enlarged photo of an chrysanthemum, a colorful set of pickles Golf balls, a beach with clean water, a green bokeh background, brocade fabric, grass, colorful flowers, rainbow flashes, a multicolored light pattern and champagne glasses.
However, why don't people use the app?
And we have two quite clear problems, and the real reason that the use is limited to a few people, and being an invitation app, the logical thing would be for everyone to use it, WhatsApp style, but does not make sense.
- It only works with Apple users: The first problem is key, and if only 50% of the population has an iPhone, you have already loaded to the other half, and it is a birthday party, for example, we doubt that, coincidentally, all your friends use a phone with the apple logo, which avoids using it, looking for alternatives that everyone possesses.
- It is payment: We need an ICloud+subscription, that is, pay something per month, although it is only the subscription of 0.99 euros for the 50 GB storage extras. It is true that most people have a plan, but not everyone, so even within that 50% that they use iPhone, we have to lower the percentage of those who cannot access.
In summary, if Apple does not globally launch this app, and promote it, we may never use it, since not having it all over the world, it loses its effectiveness, and despite being a great idea, it will stay in that type of tools that we never have in day to day.
