Although we have not yet seen the iPhone 17, there are already many rumors that indicate how the next could be iPhone 18 Pro. Characteristics that we know will not arrive on time for this year's model, which would already be finished on paper, but that we would see in the next.
They are quite interesting, although as always, they are Rumorsso that, when implementing them, there is a problem and finally end up delaying more than we would like, although we are going to open a little mouth with them, and hopefully we will really see them.
Characteristics of the iPhone 18 Pro
Today we will see 6 of them, which could give us a different iPhone to what we are used to, and that, in my opinion, they are quite interesting, so we will first analyze them.
- Face ID under the screen: Apparently, Apple would be trying to make the Face ID under the screen, thus eliminating the dynamic island, something that many users have been asking for years, and that could finally arrive with the iPhone 18 Pro.
- Variable opening in the camera: The main camera of 48 MP could adjust its opening to improve photos in different light conditions. Apple always bets on improving its cameras, and this could be one of the points we see soon.
- New Samsung image sensor: It improves the dynamic range and reduces noise in photos. Applicable to the previous point, where we see improvements in the cameras and take photographs or videos.
- Thinner design: Possible changes in chassis. We will see it on the iPhone 17 Air, but it seems that Apple would be thinking of taking it to all its models. We will see how it affects at the level of autonomy.
- Chip A18 Pro: More power and efficiency. As always, a new chip, although in this case a major jump is expected than we are used to year after year, with a narrower integration of the chip processor, unified memory and neuronal engine.
- MODEM C2: The second version of Apple's own modem, which could improve, and much, not only connectivity, but the autonomy of the devices, something we already saw with the first of the models incorporated in the 16E iPhone.
For now this is what we know, and, really, the fact of removing the dynamic island by incorporating the face ID under the screen, having better cameras, and more powerful chips that consume less battery, could give us an almost definitive iPhone. We will see how that thinner design, which could be related to that Improvement in autonomybeing able to reduce the ability of the battery because it would achieve the same results in a smaller space, which I do not think it is necessary, and I would like to see one with longer duration, but we will have to wait to know the real details, since Apple likes to surprise us.
