Although we are still a year away from its presentation, the iPhone 17 range is already getting a lot of attention. After the iPhone 17 Air, which would replace the Plus model, analyst Jeff Pu also shared part of the technical sheet of the iPhone 17 Pro.

A more marked evolution

In a recent note sent to investors, Jeff Pu reiterated that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely include a 48-megapixel telephoto rear camera and a 24-megapixel front-facing camera – a significant improvement over the 12-megapixel versions found in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Current max.

The iPhone 17 Pro would have a small Dynamic Island and a 48 mp zoom

The analyst also expects iPhone 17 Pro models to come with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB for current models, which should improve Apple Intelligence performance and multitasking capabilities. He also said that both “Pro” should be equipped with an A19 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process, like the A18 Pro chip.

Another notable change, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a “much narrower Dynamic Island”. This would be possible thanks to a smaller “metalens” for the Face ID system, marking the first reduction in size of the dynamic island since its debut on the iPhone 14 Pro models in 2022.

In addition to these key improvements, Pu mentioned that the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes will remain unchanged for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, respectively. Which is sure to disappoint little hands.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 range in September 2025, with the standard iPhone 17, the new ultra-thin “iPhone 17 Air”, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Enough to offer a more marked evolution to its customers, after the disappointment of this year.
